I received an email today from a professional writer that I have looked to as a mentor for many years. He advised that I should let readers know of any awards that I ( TendingMyGarden.com) receive.
This post is me taking his advice.
- March 2018 – was notified that TendingMyGarden.com had been selected as one of the Top 30 Organic Gardening Blogs on the web.
You’ll notice the gold ribbon award to your left.
Every notification comes with a badge to display, but I have only displayed the most recent because of space.
- February 2018 – notified that my site had been ranked in the Top Gardening Blogs.
- Selected for inclusion in the Top 40 Gardening Blogs of 2017
Here’s what they had to say about TendingMyGarden:
If you are interested in gardening, tendingmygarden.com is the site that you really need to visit. It’s got a whole lot of information on the most important aspects to gardening, including which plants to grow or how best to grow which stuff. If you are going to have the best garden you can, this resource is indispensable.
2016, 2017, and 2018
- Selected for inclusion in the Top 100 Gardening Blogs Every Gardener Must Read.
(They choose from thousands of the best gardening blogs in their index using search and social metrics.)
I’m very pleased that my site was selected for inclusion in these lists.
If you have benefited from my writing and if you participate in any form of social media, I hope you will share this post and help spread the word.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
In case you’re on a mobile and can’t see the award ribbon in the left column, here it is again:

Congratulations Theresa! I LOVE your blog, learning and IMPLEMENTING many of your pearls of wisdom. Simple and sensical ways to grow and enjoy real food.
I am happy to share this on my “Persimmon Ridge Honey and Goat Farm” Facebook page!
Also, finished planting all of my onion starts yesterday–Stuttgarter, Mako, and Yellow Parma. I am hoping that this is the first year that I don’t have to buy the bulbs or sets!
This is not a surprise to those who have been following your garden adventures for some time.
Congratulations on the awards. I have been gardening your way for quite a few years but never really knew why I did what I do until I found your site.
I think every new gardener “needs” your book before they start and existing gardeners need to get it. I have no idea how many books I purchased that just didn’t make sense to me before yours but have not purchased even one since.
Congratulations Theresa! Your blog has been an inspiration to me. This award only proves what all your loyal readers have known for some time. Well done.
I’d say you deserve these awards and good for your mentor for telling you to let it be known.
Congratulations! I am certain winning awards has never been your goal in writing this blog, but recognition of your contributions is well deserved. Enjoy!
I’m with Ray all the way…(above comment)!!
Congratulations! Gardening information that is specifically applicable to ‘northern climates’, is all too scarce, even in today’s information age. Your blog keeps me informed and motivated to discover what works and doesn’t, and what is possible! Keep up the good work!
All so richly deserved! So good to see others think so highly of you and your site…Awesome!
Congratulations, these are well deserved awards! Your posts put happiness in the lives of more people than you will ever know. Thank you so much for all you do to help us all and for always making my day!
How fantastic to get public recognition! We know how valuable your blog is and that’s why we read it! My Inbox is packed every day, and I go to your posts first and ignore the rest…
You definitely deserve this award; your blog is amazing- the most straightforward and practical one I’ve come across!
Congratulations. Your blog, and you, deserve to be recognized for all the knowledge of gardening you have accumulated over the years. I do not garden any more because of health reasons but the help I have had and learned so much from your blogs and made my garden a success each year. Thanks for all you do.
Well-deserved! I continue to share your blog and your books with anyone who will listen to me, Theresa. It is truly THE best!
Congratulations my gardening friend. So very proud to know you. Happy days, Alice
Congratulations and thank you for letting us know. Although you know it does not come as a big surprise to most of us. We have been following you for years and you have never given bad advice. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I have to say, you are the best teacher I have ever had!
I’m so glad you are getting the recognition you deserve! Hands down best gardening blog that I’ve read and continue to read. Anyone I talk to about gardening I direct to your blog.
Congratulations, Theresa! All of your awards are so well-deserved!
I have loved your gardening blog and books. They have been so very helpful to me after having a garden for a number of years with up and down success. Now that I am older, your blog means more to me than ever and I appreciate that we can ask questions and you actually answer them! I also share your knowledge as I can. I agree with the others and I’m glad you took your mentor’s advice. Your awards are extremely well deserved!
CONGRATULATIONS! Of Course you would be recognized as the best! Cause you ARE the best! I am so happy to hear the news. Thank you so much for your tireless teaching and encouraging, and of course your warm friendliness. You are loved much.
CONGRATULATIONS! And thank you for tooting your own horn! I would not have known of the awards otherwise!
I have referred and will continue to refer up and coming gardeners to your website!
I hope it benefits you greatly. I cannot think of anyone working harder to benefit their clients (readers).
God bless you
